Welcome
to the Asbestos Specialists.
 Whilst
there is a lot of hype in the media today, the most important
thing is not to get too stressed about asbestos if it is
present in your home.
If the
asbestos cement sheeting is encapsulated (coated) and not
exposed to drilling, sanding, scraping (ie home renovations)
or if it’s not broken then the Asbestos may be in
a safe contained condition.
Asbestos
material should be repaired, cleaned up or removed if it
is damaged, in poor condition, or could possibly be disturbed
by building works., as recommended in the Queensland Health
‘Home Renovators Guide to Asbestos’.
This
will reduce the likelihood of asbestos fibres becoming airborne
and creating a health risk to you, your family and those
around you.
